Hi, I'm Radu

I built Plecări out of a simple frustration: every time I planned a trip, I'd end up with 30 tabs open — one for flights, another for hotels, another for insurance, another for eSIM, another for things to do at the destination. Each tab in a different language, with different formats and different gotchas.

Plecări is the answer to that chaos: one place to compare, understand, and book — from your flight to the experiences waiting at your destination — with information written by someone who has actually been through the process.

My background in travel

I'm not a travel blogger who posts sunset photos from Santorini. I come from the cruise industry, where I spent several years on the technical side — integrating with booking systems, mapping itineraries, configuring cabin layouts and pricing. I know how a booking engine works from the inside, not just from the interface a tourist sees.

That experience allows me to write cruise guides with details you won't find in typical reviews: how cruise lines actually compare, which cabin to choose for your real needs, and how to avoid hidden costs.

Beyond cruises, I've built and managed online travel platforms, which means I understand both the traveller's perspective and the mechanics behind the deals you see.

How Plecări works

Plecări covers seven travel verticals: flights, stays, insurance, cruises, eSIM and roaming, car rental, and city breaks, plus experiences and activities at your destination.

Each article combines editorial content (guides, comparisons, practical tips) with search and comparison tools connected to real booking platforms. When you find something that fits and book it, the partner platform pays us a commission — at no extra cost to you.
